U.S. president Barack Hussein Obama gave a speech at Northwestern High School in Flint, MI on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 during which he drank a glass of water as a last-minute and desperate effort to assuage the growing anger and frustration amongst Africans surrounding the city’s lead-poisoned water.
Eight more New Jersey schools showed elevated lead levels. Parents are now having their children tested for lead poisoning.
It has been almost two years since the colonial government of Flint, Michigan switched Flint’s water source to the Flint River, providing its residents with lead, bacteria and chemical-filled water.
