Trump's immigration ban exposes white nationalism and the crisis of imperialism

After only one week of being in office, U.S. president Donald John Trump signed an executive order that bans immigrants from seven majority-Muslim countries from traveling to the U.S. on Friday, January 27, 2017.

The countries included in the ban are Somalia, Syria, Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan and Iran. They are mostly-Muslim countries but more importantly, their people are involved in active resistance against U.S. and European imperialism.

Trump stated while signing the order that it was to "keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States of America.” He continued, “We don't want them here."

The white ruling class brands anyone that resists their imperialist domination of the world a terrorist.

Trump was elected to make white working class feel safe again despite the increasing crisis due to the dirt their government does around the world. He is now keeping his word to the white working class even though this order still won't protect the U.S. from its chickens coming home to roost.

“The question of terrorism is a question of war. Terrorism is nothing more and nothing less than a form of warfare.” -Chairman Omali Yeshitela, African People's Socialist Party

It is clear to the African People's Socialist Party (APSP) that Africans and all the world's oppressed people have the right and the responsibility to resists our oppressors.

The people who live in these seven countries along with most of the world are subjected to oppression and violent attacks from U.S. and European imperialism and are fleeing their homes as a direct result of the wars and chaos it has created.

The U.S. under Barack Hussein Obama's regime, backed rebels in Syria and Libya in 2012 to overthrow the governments and killing leaders like Muammar Gaddafi that didn't dance to its tune by allowing the U.S. control over its oil.

The U.S. went directly into Iraq to kill Saddam Hussein for the same reason.

Don't just dump on Trump. Dump on U.S. imperialism!

The immigration ban is deepening the crisis of imperialism and even fracturing Republican party. Senator Graham and McCain denounced the ban and other Republicans are generally upset they weren’t kept in the loop.

The ban has also sparked protests from Muslims and immigrants who have legitimate reasons to protest such a measure. There are also a lot of protesting being done by members of the white left and those with allegiance to the Democratic party.

The Democrats are protesting Trump and the Republicans, not white power and imperialism. They want to protect white power from the resistance of so-called terrorist just as much as Trump and his supporters do.

They are hypocrites for criticizing Trump banning people from these countries when former U.S. president Barack Hussein Obama and former presidential candicate Hillary Clinton actually murdered people in these places and overthrew their governments.

“We came, we saw, he died!” -Hillary Clinton, after killing Muammar Gaddafi

Obama killed 150 Somali youth by using drones to attack them during a graduation celebration. He also deported 2.5 million people, more than any other U.S. president. Obama also banned Iraqis from entering the U.S. in 2011.

Protesters and critics of the ban are mainly hypocrites for not acknowledging the fact that the land which the U.S. occupies belongs to the Indigenous people who had it stolen by Europeans.

Neither Trump nor Obama were legitimate in their claims of authority over who crosses into the U.S. colonial borders.

The white left jumps at the chance to fight Trump but have no interest in forwarding African Revolution

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has filed a lawsuit against the Trump regime on behalf of two Iraqi men who were denied access to the U.S.

One of the men betrayed his own people by serving the U.S. as an interpreter and an engineer during their military occupation of Iraq and now wants to enter the U.S. to escape judgment from his own.

The ACLU has raised a record $24 million in donations as a response to Trump's ban.  However, they are nowhere to be found when Africans need defending from colonial courts and domestic military regimes.

The white left can raise millions to fight Trump but won't raise a penny towards reparations to Africans.

The idea of getting upset over people not being allowed in the U.S. without caring to overturn the contradictions that forces these people to flee their homes illogical.

The white left cares more about seizing the opportunity to undermine Trump and continue consolidating opposition to his regime in favor of democrats than they do oppressed people from Muslim countries.

David Miliband, president and chief executive of the International Rescue Committee, said in a statement, “At a time when there are more refugees than ever, America must remain true to its core values. America must remain a beacon of hope."

He cannot be talking about the same country that we Africans experience everyday.

The white left obviously has the same delusional white nationalist view on the U.S. that Trump's supporters have.

The U.S. is a beacon of greed, callousness and cruelty and has been since the first settler killed the first native. The core values of the U.S. were made evident from the first African brought here in chains.

We're in a time of growing refugees because we are in a time of growing crisis for imperialism.

Don't be distracted by Trump being petty. True solidarity with our brothers and sisters in oppressed Muslim countries means struggling to overturn white power imperialism.

It doesn't mean getting out there and being reactionary alongside the white left. Revolution is the only solution to the plight of the world's oppressed.

Join the African People's Socialist Party!

We are winning!
